The Challenge
Design, develop and present a brand new service in just 48 hours.

Kosten: 15 euro (ter plekke te voldoen)

In deze 48 uur gaan we in teams aan de slag met een service design concept. Op vrijdag zal het thema worden onthuld en worden onderwerpen bepaald. Alle deelnemers zijn vrij onderwerpen aan te dragen.

Iedereen kan deelnemen: ontwerpbureaus, communicatiebureaus, architecten, beleidsmakers, studenten, docenten, onderzoekers, ondernemers, kunstenaars... Iedereen kan onderwerpen aandragen die je bezig houden zoals de stad, zorg, duurzaamheid, et cetera.

Hieronder vind je een programma voor de 48 uur. De Jam moet zowel inspirerend als productief zijn. Vandaar dat er een aantal milestones zijn bepaald. Maar deelnemers kunnen suggesties doen om op onderdelen dingen anders te doen.

Lunches en borrels op zaterdag en zondag zijn inbegrepen. Vrijdagavond is een broodbuffet en borrel beschikbaar. Kosten voor diner op zaterdag zijn niet inbegrepen (maar je kunt in de buurt voldoende gelegenheden vinden om wat te eten).

Op vrijdag ga je met anderen teams vormen die echter niet het gehele weekend hoeven blijven te bestaan. Het helpt juist om van team te wisselen om met elkaars inzichten en bijdragen tot de beste resultaten te komen.

Vrijdag 11 maart: Meeting and teaming

17.00 Jam session #1: Introductie en teamvorming
- introductie en discussie thema + onderwerpen
- teams vormen
- Brainstorm: eerst iets persoonlijks, dan delen met je team, dan gezamenlijk
- geef je team een identiteit (naam, logo)
- ondertussen broodjes eten

20.00 Jam session #2: Pitch team en ideeen
- pitchen van je team (visie, uitgangspunten, voorwaarden waaraan jij je ontwerp wilt laten
voldoen)
- wisselmoment: wissel van team als je wilt

21.00 Jam session #3: Reach out
- nadenken hoe je zaterdag de doelgroep kunt betrekken
- raadpleeg (inter)nationale experts consults via online Q&A (Skype & Twitterstream)

23.00 Gebouw sluit

Zaterdag 12 maart: Jamming

09.00 - 12.30 Jam session #4: Get out!
Ga naar buiten om je doelgroep te bestuderen of haal je doelgroep in huis!

12.30 - 13.30 Lunch

13.30 - 17.30 Jam session #5: Ontwerpen!

17.30 - 19.00 Diner (niet bij deelnamekosten inbegrepen)
Vrij om in de buurt ergens wat te eten.

19.00 - 19.30 Jam session #6: Voorbereiding Dragons pitch

19.30 - 21.30 Jam session #7: Dragons Jam!
Elk team presenteert zijn tussenresultaat aan de Jury van Meedogenloze Dragons, die het ontwerp tot op het bot bekritiseren.

21.30 - 23.00 Ontspanning en entertainment
Wonden likken, elkaar inspireren en chillen.

23.00 Gebouw sluit


Zondag 13 maart: Wrap up

In 48 hours we'll develop a servic design conept in teams. At Friday, the global theme will be revealed and subjects wil be determined. All participants are free to propose subjects.

Anyone can join: design agencies, communication agencies, architects, policy makers, students, lecturers, researchers, entrepeneurs, artists...Feel free to contribute your interests.

Below you'll find the 48-hours programme. The Jam should be inspiring as well as productive. Hence the milestones. But participants are free to suggest changes in the programme.

Lunches and drinks at Saturday and SUnday are included. At Friday, sandwiches will be served as dinner, and drinks in the evening. DInner at Saturday is not included in the fee (but the neighbourhood offers plenty opportunitues for snacking and dining).

At Friday, we will make teams but they do not nessecarily stay together. Changing teams will help us to bring our contriutions and insights to the best results.

20.00 Jam session #2: Pitch team and ideas
- pitchen your team (vision, points-of-view, requirements for design)
- exchange: switch teams if you want

21.00 Jam session #3: Reach out
- think of how to engage your target group the next day
- consult (inter)national experts consults via online Q&A (Skype & Twitterstream)

23.00 Building closes

Saturday 12th March: Jamming

Go out to explore your target group, or bring'm in!

Eacht team will presnet its results to the Evil Jury of Dragons, who will break down your concept to the bone!

Care for your dragons' wounds, inspire and chill.
